INSTADIARY | COCKTAILS, COVERAGE & CHRISTMAS TREES
With just under a month to go until the doors are set to open for the season, alongside all the building work the team have been busy crafting cocktail menus, meeting Jägermeister and wine tasting… it’s true what they say, it really is a drinking resort with a ski problem!
Last weekend Verbier officially opened for the winter when everyone grabbed their skis and took to the slopes for the first ski day of the season. The snow continued this week up top and after a busy week everyone is ready to hit the slopes again!
Head Bartender Aaron, previously head bartender at London’s exclusive Mayfair Hotel has been busy creating a 50 strong cocktail menu, with the return of some popular classics and a few new kids on the block including a Mango and Chilli Mojito, a sweet and spicy twist on the classic. The question is… can you handle the heat?
What was it we were just saying about Verbier being a drinking resort with a ski problem? This month Verbier was voted ‘Best Party Resort’ in British Airways HighLife magazine and Le Farinet got a mention as the perfect place to settle down on a leather sofa with a cocktail… we couldn’t have put it better ourselves!
This week we started a new series here on the blog which gives you the chance to meet the team so you can put names to some of the faces you will be seeing a lot of this season. First up, the guy at the helm, General Manager Stephen Wilson aka Scotty who you can get to know here.
Every year before the season begins so much effort goes into getting Verbier ready for all the thousands that will start to arrive in town over the coming months. This year Christmas has come early as Christmas trees went up around Place Centrale, baubles and all! We just need some more snow down in the village again to complete that festive feeling.
Did you hear the news? Après is opening a week earlier than previous seasons!! Better yet Spyglass are returning to kick off the line up of live bands on stage from 19th – 26th December.
Another week, another Instadiary… and no hangovers in sight (promise!) Don’t forget to follow us on Instagram!Back to blog
